Introduction: 1986
Discontinued: 1992
Background: 1000's were meant to be an entry level line and as a successor of the 404 line which it shared a similar appearance but with larger hammer marks.
In addition, less hammering was used compared to the high end lines. They were offered in traditional and rude (un-lathed ) finish.
Also available as power models like in 2000 and 3000 Lines.
The ink was dark green, a bit darker than the 505 ink. The larger hammer marks are made to compress larger areas and results in less hammering cutting down on production costs.
