Review: This model & size is one of my all-time favorite Chinas made by Paiste, or by anyone, for that matter. Its size has the perfect amount of 'trash', sustain, and pitch. Once you get to the 20" size (and above), there's a certain amount of "gong-iness" in the sound, which this 18 doesn't have. (Those bigger ones really need a good "whack" to open up too, especially that big boy twenty-four incher!.
In conclusion, it's a great China if one is needing one in their set-up. It's versatile, ubiquitous (so can be usually found for those on a budget), and very easy to like.
