Review: Loud, brash, and icy...Nope, I'm not talking about my ex-girlfriend (BAH-dum-bum), but rather these hats. They certainly have a big sound, with metallic bites. These feature Paiste's proprietary Reflector finish, while the underside of each bell is unfinished like the rest of the 2002 Wilds. To be honest, in purchasing these I already had a feeling that they wouldn't be "my cup of tea" as I had owned these before, but in the 14" size. While I don't think these will work for me, it's not because they are bad sounding cymbals- the kind of music I typically play doesn't require this much "cut".

Review: "The 2002 Wild hi-hats consist of a medium-heavy top and a heavy bottom. The foot chick sound was crisp, dry, and sturdy, which complemented the frostbite attack of the stick and the harsh unruliness of half-open hits.
The RUDE Wild hi-hats darkened up the mood slightly, while keeping an intensity and ire that pierced unforgivingly. The medium-top/heavy- bottom combination created a barking chick sound and unleashed a howl when played open."
