A small thick CuSn8 bronze disk with a slight bowl shape, it produces a round, warm, musical and seemingly never ending high pitched tone. Played with mallets, its sound is especially warm and round. (2)
Bright, full, warm, brilliant. Narrow range, clean mix. Heavy, very immediate feel. Dominant fundamental note surrounded by prominent, very musical, under- and overtones, which modulate at varying amplitudes. Exceptionally long, seemingly never ending sustain. The ultimate bright, warm, mellow bell sound.
