Meinl's Description: <<< - >>>
Review: "This is a hi-hat made up of two lightweight cymbals: Thin as the top cymbal and Medium Thin as the bottom cymbal. Several dark frequencies are highlighted (... we had no doubts), especially noticeable when the cymbals are closed with the pedal. The large diameter favors volume, but mainly affects the tone... which is low. It is necessary to tilt the bottom cymbal using the small screw usually located on the hi-hat stand, so that the top cymbal can slide over the bottom when in which the pedal is operated. In this way, the sound remains more open and sparkling. Why is that? Because the pair of cymbals does not close completely, but instead, staying offset, allows air to escape freely without damping the vibrations. The hits of the stick on the top cymbal are audible, dry, and very distinct. The sound texture is truly in vintage style!"
