Review: "The rides are perhaps the most obviously classic-oriented elements of the Armand series; there's something wonderfully evocative about the way they serve up a mix of pronounced 'ping' supported by a lovely murmur of wash. And once you really lay into them they roar into a crash-ride noise beautifully. Very Who-like indeed, perfect for Moonie fans."

Review: "The Armand series includes 20" and 21" medium-thin rides that follow upon the previously introduced 19" Armand “Beautiful Baby” ride. The two new models aren’t fitted with rivets, which was a feature of the original Armand ride. They don’t need them. With their medium-thin weight, both cymbals have plenty of overtones that would provide a cushion for a band’s music. But while the sound might be described as “washy,” there is still plenty of stick definition.

The 20" model will probably be the most popular, as its sound is mainstream enough for a wide variety of applications. It’s pitched a bit lower than the typical A Zildjian 20" medium ride, but still high enought of it a lot of situations."
