Review: The Colorsound coating does dry out the sound a bit, and I find that color-coated chinas have a bit of "gonginess" to them, and this one is no different. (Typically this isn't so noticeable when playing the cymbal in a live setting.) This has a nice sound, some trash and a fair amount of attack.
This does sound a bit better than the Colorsound 5 version - a bit less "gonginess", and not quite as dry.
