Review: Spoiler Alert - These are the same hi-hats as the Sound Creation 14" Dark Hi-Hat. To cut a long story short, in the early 1980's, there was a name change, due to Paiste adding Dark Medium Hi-Hats to the series.

These hats are terrific. They have a great "chick", warm sound, and extremely versatile. They're not dark in the same way some other companies make their dark cymbals, but they're dark in the "Paiste way". If you see a set of these, or the aforementioned Dark hats, I think you won't be disappointed. (That is, unless you need hats that are so dark that they get lost in the mix)
