Review: "The 18" Classics Custom Medium crash ($292) had a go-to quality that made it immediately likeable. There was ample brightness in the attack, followed by some body in the overtones and a reasonable decay. Crashing and riding on this cymbal produced good results in rock-inspired applications. The only quirk of the model was that it played with a personality more akin to a 16" crash. Conversely, the 16" Classics Custom Medium crash ($238) was the most lackluster of the sampled bunch. In terms of presence and shimmer, it paled in comparison to the 18" Medium or any of the heavier Powerful models."
