Review: "The 14" size cymbals seem to be the weak point of the series. They are too big to be used as splashes, but not quite big enough for crashes."
- Review written by Rick Van Horn and Rick Mattingly ("More New Cymbals", Modern Drummer, October 1987, p. 126)
Review: The Sound Control crashes pack a wallop. Best of the lot we played was the 12" (HH model, short for hand hammered, retailing for $119.00), a high screamer that gets in quick and out damn near as fast. The 14" (H.H., $155.00), while not as high-toned, otherwise resembled the 12"."
