Description

Byzance Vintage

  • The Byzance Vintage Smack Stack features three B20 bronze discs shaped to create a distinctive sound effect. The stack can be manipulated by adjusting the tension of the cymbal stand’s wing nut. Increased tension produces a crisp attack and short decay ideal for quick accents, while loose settings yield a longer sustain. Works well when paired with a snare drum for enhanced back beats, or as an alternative to your snare altogether. The discs are sized 10”, 12”, and 14”. 1
  • Its unusual sandblasted surface gives it a soft feel and a distinct matte finish. Its low, dark and somewhat dry washy sound isn’t too soft or loud. With its great stick definition and short sustain, you can dig into Byzance Vintage for total control at all times. It’s a sound that fits into any music that isn’t in the upper decibel levels. 2

HCS

  • The 3-piece HCS 10/12/14 Smack Stack features three discs shaped to create a distinctive sound effect. The discs are sized 10”, 12”, and 14”.3
  • The 5-piece HCS 8/10/12/14/16 Smack Stack features five discs shaped to create a distinctive sound effect. The stack can be manipulated by adjusting the tension of the cymbal stand’s wing nut. Increased tension produces a crisp attack and short decay ideal for quick accents, while a looser setting yields a longer sustain. Works well when paired with a snare drum for enhanced back beats, or as an alternative to your snare altogether. Use all five discs for a fuller sound and increased projection, or mix and match a few sizes to find the sound that suits you best. The discs are sized 8”, 10”, 12”, 14” and 16”.4
