Review: 20" Paiste Sound Formula Dry Ride that is made from Paiste Signature Alloy and weighs about 2460 grams. In my opinion, this has much less "ping" to the sound and is a bit washier than most sig alloy rides, so it is "fairly wet" when it comes to wash but "fairly dry" when it comes to the tone of the ping. I really think it sounds good and I think it is crashable, though not in the "crash ride" range.

Review: "I have to take issue with the designation of the Dry Ride. I didn't find it "dry" at all. Instead, I found it to offer a beautiful "shimmer," with full tone, substantial spread, and a good bell sound. It might have been just a tad "darker" or lower in pitch than, say, a medium ride, but for my taste this would be a very nice, all-purpose ride cymbal.
