Review: The crash cymbals also have this soft, light sound character, but they have more potential for higher volumes, depending on how you play them. The 16" Crash has a bright, short sound that rises quickly when you play it and is gone again. Very suitable for fast-paced accentuated play. The 18" Crash, on the other hand, has more warmth and fullness and can be described as low in terms of fundamental tone. This becomes clear when you play it quietly: With the hard stroke, the trebles develop quite quickly and subside quickly, so that this crash cymbal does not resonate for long. Both cymbals should probably be able to be used in all musical styles, although quiet to medium volumes would be preferred due to their warm, soft sound characteristics.
