Paiste announces the addition of 7 new Dimensions models at the Anaheim Winter NAMM convention. The new models represent a decidedly new direction for the Dimensions series. They advance the sound quality obtained from CuSn8 Bronze once again. They also represent the first use of "Sonic Texture Formula" in professional class hand made cymbals. "Sonic Texture Formula" is a patent pending manual surface treatment technique, which brings out rich, intricate harmonics in a cymbal to create a fuller, more complex sound.
The Medium Raw Crash, Medium Heavy Wild Ride & Medium Crush Ride are powerful, cutting cymbals with advanced character for modern, progressive application in the rock, metal and punk genres. The Cool Medium Ride, Deep Full Ride, Medium Thin Full Crash and Medium Heavy Crunch Hats are musical, complex cymbals with sophisticated character for wide-ranging modern applications and genres.
Use of Dimensions cymbals among Paiste's top professional artists keeps growing as new models expand sound possibilities. Due to the advanced professional character and versatility in application, Dimensions have attained the status of "The Working Drummer's Cymbal". Among the artists who already use the new Dimensions models in their setups are: Dean Butterworth (Morrissey), Mauricio Claveria (La Ley), Trey Gray (Faith Hill & Jewel), Chris Hornbrook (Poison the Well), Bobby Jarzombek (Halford), Sam Loeffler (Chevelle), Alec Puro (Deadsy), Dave Raun (Lagwagon), Eric Stock (Stroke 9), Joey Waronker (Beck & R.E.M.), and Derico Watson (Victor Wooten).
