Review: What a nice surprise this one was! Having only heard the clip on the Paiste site, I was expecting a fairly dark sounding pie. However, when I played it (with Stewart's signature Vater sticks), it really wasn't as dark, and not nearly as dry as Paiste's sound clip either. It is dry,and really doesn't build up much, even after several hard hits. it has great definition needless to say. Has a decent bell on it, a much nicer one than the 22" Rude Ride/Crash that he often used live back in the Police heyday. Added to that is the blue bottom (white Paiste logo),and the blue/reflector top design that looks very unique. In my opinion this would be well suited to many styles-Rock, Metal, Jazz, Fusion, so if you're looking for a good ride that can cover many genres, I think this one would be a good choice.
