Introduction: 1989
Background: This series started with the original Jack DeJohnette Signature models and the Carmine Appice 18" Chinese.
Innovation: A creatively daring collection of sounds that pulls you into the minds and music of today's great players. Signature challenges the possibilities with exclusive innovations ranging with new takes on traditional classics to futuristic concepts that push all the limits.1
Alloy: Varies, but alloys used included B20, B8, and Nickel Silver

Jack DeJohnette Signature Series

Discontinued: 1994 (Available as special order after this.)
Background: DeJohnette worked with Nort Hargrove and and Dan Barker at Sabian for 2 or 3 years to create cymbals that were dark and dry, and unlike anything that was currently being offered by any manufacturer. DeJohnette wanted not just one cymbal, but a whole series - Hi-Hat, Crashes, Rides, and a China.2
