Review: "My favorite crashes in both weight categories were the 17" and 18" models. They all responded well with full voices and powerful sustain. Surprisingly, I found that the 18" Medium could be used quite nicely as a "big-finish crash" in a lower-volume situation, played with a 5A stick. It didn't have to be walloped in order for it to sound full; it spoke out quite readily at a medium impact."

Review: For my tastes, I liked the Medium Crashes in this series better than the Rocks. They have a nice weight to size ratio, exhibiting a warmth to their shimmer. The 17" was powerful, punchy, and played like a larger size would. The 19" had a big sound, long sustain, and a nice bell sound. Do you know that some by The Beatles "Real Love"? To me this sounded like a crash that Ringo used in the song. (I'm sure it was not, but I digress.)
