Review: A thin top with a heavy bottom keeps this pair sounding smooth, sloshy, and defined. Very responsive hats that work well for a ton of applications. Great for acoustic sets, jazz, worship, really anything where you want something dynamic and tender.

Review: "Of the four new pairs of Twenty hi-hats, three were sent for review (12" and 15" hi-hats and 14" Light hats), with the 16" Medium Light hats being withheld for review in a future issue.

The 14" Light hats are an altogether darker proposition. They have a far softer feel, which makes for a big, warm stick sound. While enough top-end is present to ensure that they carry, these hats are happiest delivering a sizzling, slightly hazy performance."

Review: "The 14" Light hi-hats are my personal “pick of the litter.” They have an ice soft feel under the sticks, yet they are articulate enough to handle double strokes and quick Stewart Copeland–style flourishes. Their tone is a perfect balance of dark complexity and diamond-sharp precision. The semi-open sound has a smoky character (think Matt Chamberlain), while the foot chick is dry and clean, if a little soft. Again, these aren’t cymbals I’d use on bebop gigs, but they do have a touch of that color with in a more straight-forward pop/rock/studio sound."
