'''Review''': Most say this has a dark wash, but I found it to be very musical. I enjoyed playing it. The hammering/finish is a bit different from other 2002 rides, in a good way. This ride has some what of a dry, loud ping, with minimal wash, and heavy deep sustain. This ride would be great for rock and metal. I enjoyed this, and only wish I could have tried the 22! The bell could use some work, as it's very small. But, if you can find the sweet spot, it's game over, this one has a killer loud bell sound when hit just right!<br> | '''Review''': Most say this has a dark wash, but I found it to be very musical. Review: For a very short period of time around 1980-81, Paiste subtitled this "Jazz Rock",and that name fits it well. It's got a great stick sound, very ping-y, but it's got a heaping bit of dark wash too. It seemed odd that this wash was coming from a 2002, since it was so dark and audible. This wash isn't as noticeable at all when played in an electric band sort of setup, but played alone, you definitely WILL hear it. It does have a nice ping, bright and pleasant, but overall, it just wasn't my style of ride. I prefer the slightly larger 22" size, which is one of my all-time favorite rides.
