Review: "The 16" and 16" Brilliant models sound great for quick, explosive crashes. They sounded low-pitched for their size, and worked best when mounted right-side up. (Their decay was even quicker when they were mounted upside down.) In these smaller models (along with the 18" models) I really liked the Brilliant cymbals because they weren't as harsh-sounding (in the ultra-highs) as the non-Brilliants, and they had a little more sustain. However, if you're in a loud band and you need a China that really cuts through and is quick, I'd recommend the regular, non-Brilliant models."
