Review: Bright, clear ping, with little wash. Short sustain, a real "to-the-point" sort of ride. It doesn't need to be beaten to death to get a great ride sound from. While most Heavy Metal drummers went for a larger size of this model, this 20" would be a great utility ride for just about any sort of music. For that reason, it would work great in a covers band as the only ride. Blends well with crashes that are Medium and lighter. Might get lost when using with RUDES and Power Crashes.

Review: I bought this cymbal back in 1985-86ish when it first came out. I was going between this and a 2002 20" ride. Well the "power" caught my ear and decided to pick this 3000 over the 2002 regular ride. It has a great ping, medium wash and nice cutting bell. I used it from 86-2005 and it stood the test of time. Only had scratches when I gave it up, cause I neglected putting it in bags etc. The only thing that would be better would be a 3000 22" Power Ride. I hope to get one, the 2002 Power Ride is made in reminiscent of the 3000 and I would say it was pretty close. Great ride, I miss not having it.
