Review: Mine is on the light end for the model - 2697g - and its sound reflects that. It's surprisingly dark. It does have a nice "ping", but I feel that the dark colors are a bit uncharacteristic for a Ping Ride. It can be crashed for a nice big warm spread. The bell is disappointing, as hitting it with the taper of the stick produced some harsh, discordant tones that, considering what we're talking about, were very surprising. If you look through the above videos, you'll see a side-by-side of this near a A Platinum 20" Medium Ride, in case you've ever wondered how they compare.
