When I put this pair on the hi-hat stand, the first thing I noticed was that I had to tighten up the part of the clutch that holds the top cymbal. (I had previously had a heavy hi-hat on the stand that this was perfect for just prior to trying these out.) Being so large and heavy, it takes a solid whack to get these hats to open up to their full potential. They have slosh and wash for days, and a warm tone to go with a bit of metallic tones.
