Review: "The 16" and 18" crash cymbals were the instruments which reminded me most of my old ones. They were both sibilant, and complemented each other very well. They were designated thin, but even so their sounds were full-bodied with lots of expensive 'shimmer'."
- Review written by Bob Henrit ("Istanbul Cymbals", International Musician & Recording World, December 1986
Review: "The two crashes were not all that different, despite the fact that one was marked Medium and the other Thin. Played at a medium volume, the attack and sustain were well balanced. But at very loud volumes within a live band, their body and sustain didn't hold up, resulting in a fast, thin explosion immediately followed by nothing."
- Review written by Rick Mattingly ("Istanbul Cymbals", Modern Drummer, May 1998, p. 114)
