Review: "The 18" Razor Crash actually ended up with a higher pitch than the 16". Granted, when you're listening to a cymbal, you're not just getting one pure pitch; there's usually all sorts of wacky overtone stuff happening, and your ear can focus on the "wrong" tones. Some rooms accentuate certain tones, some bring out others. But alas, in our test room (and even from outside its closed door) a couple of different pairs of ears noticed the miss-matched pitches. Stranger still is that Edge cymbals are sheet-cut, rather than cast, supposedly guaranteeing "total consistency."
