Review: The Dark Flatride is a delicate sounding cymbal. Being a Flatride, stick articulation is very precise, with very little wash. What you can hear is warm , somewhat trashy, and I sense some "air" as well. Crashing this delivers a roaring sound. Playing close to the mounting hole is where the ride shows the least amount of wash and volume. Both become greater as the stick moves towards the edge.
