Review: "My favourite from this set-up was without doubt the 18" China Boy – a beautiful shimmering gong effect with a surprisingly long sustain. The sharp attack of most china type cymbals, although effective, tends to be a bit short-lived. This one responded swiftly yet sustained like the gong being bashed by that oily macho-man at the start of those Rank film presentations."

Review: It's a bit stiff-sounding, and it does take a good 'whack' to get it to open up - hitting it with a 7A stick did get a nice response, but it seemed to not be moving much, that is, until I hit it with a 5A. It does have some exotic flairs to it, in spite of the heavy weight, and tapping the profile does provide a fair amount of funky stick definition. This features a narrower-than-usual flanged edge that adds to its uniquenesss.
