Zildjian's Description: <<< - >>>
Review: While not a typical-sounding example of this usually paper thin model, the Z series Splash does have its uses and well, charm, for lack of better words. There's a certain "earthy" and "exotic" quality to its tone. It is quick, just not as much as those other examples of this model tends to be. Ultimately I would use it for unique-sounding effects accents, alternating its sound between lite (for the exotic/earthy-ness) and medium (for funky and punchy accents) stick hits. Zildjian's proprietary computer hammering, coupled with no lathing produces a cymbal like no others that I've heard from the company.
Mine is the video linked above.
