(Reweighed my DDR, it is 3570g. The 22" model seems to have been discontinued at the beginning of 2002, as it appears in the catalog on the 11/01 capture of the Paiste website, but only the 20 inch is available on the 03/02 capture.)

Review: "Now this time the name is right on the money. This cymbal is dry indeed; its unlathed surface produces a distinct stick ping with no accompanying "shimmer" or "sibilance" whatsoever. And that stick ping is, indeed, dark-sounding: deep in pitch, warm, and funky. (The cymbal is also actually dark in color; its unlathed surface retains the look it had when it left the cymbal oven.) With a big, heavy bell, the cymbal can build up a bit of a gongy roar when ridden fast and hard. Those who are looking for the ride-cymbal equivalent of a tuba should check this guy out."

Review written by Rick Van Horn ("Product Close-Up - New Paiste Cymbals And Sounds", Modern Drummer, Jan. 1997, p. 40))

Artist/song where it can be heard: Alex Gonzalez, Trey Gray, Dave Lombardo, Nathaniel Townsley
