Zyn

  • These cymbals were made from 1950 to 1984. The Super Zyn series was introduced in 1968 as a top-quality cymbal series, albeit in limited range. They were made from a B20. These were produced at their Leicester factory from purchased sheet metal. The series was discontinued because at that time Premier became the distributor for Zildjian. 1

Krut

  • These were made in the 1950s and 1960s. This was the cheapest of the cymbal lines that Premier produced. The series was renamed to 2 Star Zyn in the late 1970s. 1

Earliest Cymbals1

  • Premier Spun Cymbals - Dating from 1936, these were 10" cymbals made for the then-new hi-hat foot pedal.
  • Premier Choke Cymbals - two 8" brass cymbals mounted face to face on a stand.
  • imitation Turkish cymbals - Ranging from 10" to 15", and hand hammered.
